AI & Digital Products

Find the right use for AI.
Then make it work.

A report that takes too long. Expertise that is hard to share. A service customers could use more easily. We help you find the opportunity, test a focused solution and build around the people who will use it.

The opportunity

Less friction.
More room for good work.

Start with the task and the people involved. We explore where AI or automation could help, what information it needs and how you will judge whether it is working.

What we can build together.

AI-powered products

Define a useful customer output, prototype the experience and test it against agreed examples before expanding.

Expertise as a digital service

Turn a specialist method into a guided assessment or report service with explicit evidence and review needs.

Visual decision experiences

Help customers compare concepts and express preferences through a focused visual experience.

A few possibilities to get us talking. Your audience, ambition and starting point will shape what we make together.

Specialist services

Turn an established assessment method into a guided customer experience.

Visual commerce

Let customers explore a product concept before discussing the details.

New digital products

Test whether a narrowly defined AI output solves a problem customers value.

Selected work in this lab

From an AI idea
to a product people can use.

Ridgeplate brings our AI and digital-product work into focus: a platform built around the questions people have about a property.

Ridgeplate

One platform. Four ways forward.

We brought the brand, product design and development together across floor plans, cost estimates, room visualisation and property research. Each studio starts with a different question and gives the user something concrete to explore.

Three ways to move
from possibility to practice.

Bring the challenge. We’ll help find a sensible place to begin—whether that calls for AI, simpler automation or a better experience for the people involved.

Find the right opportunity.

CAD $2,000 fixed

Indicative: 1–2 weeks

  • One priority workflow and up to two stakeholder conversations
  • A process map, baseline or measurement plan, and review of representative examples
  • An explained recommendation and scope for the next step

Example: a process map and baseline measurement sheet.

Illustrative deliverable · not a client result

A report-preparation workflow

Map the steps from receiving source files to checking and sending a report. Mark who owns each step, where information is missing and where a person must review the output.

Baseline sheet

Time per report
Record preparation and review minutes separately.
Rework
Count corrections and note their causes.
Evidence
Keep the source, reviewer and date beside each observation.

Measure representative cases before setting a target. Where data is missing, the deliverable is a measurement plan, with an owner and collection method.

What to bring

One priority workflow, up to two people who know it well, and representative examples you are authorised to share.

When it fits

A recurring problem and a decision about investing in a solution. The recommendation may be a pilot, simpler automation or no build. This is a focused assessment, not an organisation-wide transformation strategy.

From CAD $6,500

Indicative: 3–4 weeks

  • One defined workflow with one agreed integration
  • A working pilot, evaluation examples and human-review points
  • A walkthrough and a clear decision about what comes next

Example: an acceptance sheet for a report-drafting pilot.

See a pilot acceptance example

Illustrative criteria · agreed per project

One workflow, a clear test

Draft a report from approved source material through one agreed integration. A person checks the draft before it leaves the team.

  • Test set: agree 20 representative cases, including missing or contradictory inputs.
  • Evidence check: reviewers compare each draft with its source and record unsupported statements, omissions and corrections.
  • Review check: incomplete inputs and uncertain outputs go to a person; no report is sent automatically.
  • Decision sheet: compare preparation plus review time with the baseline, record failures, then decide whether to revise, stop or scope production.

Acceptance thresholds are agreed before the pilot. These examples describe a test, not a promised accuracy, time saving or business result.

Make the solution your own.

Bring design, technology and the experience of using it together.

From CAD $17,500

Indicative: 6–12 weeks

  • A defined first release for one principal user journey
  • Product design, implementation and agreed acceptance checks
  • Documentation, handover and a separate plan for ongoing support

Built evidence: Ridgeplate’s RoomVision output.

Illustrative scope using a built product

One journey: photo to room concept

A possible first-release slice: provide a room photo, choose a direction and review a visual concept. Define the screens, input requirements, review points and failure states around that single journey.

  • Deliver: the agreed interface and implementation, acceptance walkthrough, documentation and handover.
  • Scope separately: floor plans, cost estimates, property research, production operating costs and ongoing support.

This is a scoping illustration, not a claim about Ridgeplate’s historical launch scope or a quote for recreating its whole platform.

Scope a custom build

Prices are in Canadian dollars, before applicable taxes and third-party software, hosting or AI usage charges. Starting scopes are described above; integrations, data quality, review needs and complexity affect the final quote. Timing begins once the agreed inputs and access are available. We confirm deliverables, timing, price and review rounds before work starts. A pilot is a learning step; production hardening and ongoing operation are scoped separately.

Before work starts: we agree the deliverables, timing, fee and review rounds. A short fit conversation helps establish whether a paid first engagement makes sense.

Production integration, ongoing model costs and a full application are scoped separately. A prototype is not a guarantee of commercial demand or error-free output.

From first question to useful outcome.

  1. Discover

Start with the people, the problem and the realities your project needs to work within.

  2. Prototype

See an early version, ask better questions and shape the direction together.

  3. Build & refine

Bring the agreed experience to life, then give the details the attention they deserve.

A few useful answers.

Where should we start?

Choose a frequent, measurable task with information your business can legitimately use. We can help assess whether AI is appropriate.

Can you connect existing software?

We assess the available integrations, access permissions and data requirements before proposing a solution.

Will people still review the results?

We design review and escalation points around the consequences of errors. The appropriate level of automation depends on the task.

How do you handle our information?

Before a build, we agree what data is needed, who may access it, which providers are involved, the review process and the operating responsibilities. Please use anonymised examples for an initial enquiry. Provider settings, retention and any training-related restrictions are addressed in the agreed scope.
